This is a song my youngest daughter Katie used to sing when she was wee. (She’s outgrown it now! :-))

I’d never recorded it. We have Jenny Wrens in the garden and they seem tireless in their daily activities.
So this is for them, with a new bridge and some bounce to match the enthusiasm of these bonnie wee birds.

V1
Wee Jenny Wren, sits on the end
Of a thorny hawthorn twig
She flies to the gate and calls to her mate
As she whistles a bonnie wee jig
Chorus
Come Jenny, Go Jenny, High Jenny, Low Jenny
Here Jenny, There Jenny, Wee Jenny Wren
Come Jenny, Go Jenny, High Jenny, Low Jenny
Bonnie wee, Jenny wee, Wren
V3
In a blink of an eye, she lifts to the sky
In a flutter of tiny wings
She chifs and she chafs, she pips and she laughs
In a bonnie we song she sings
V4
When the sun’s at rest, she flys to her nest
And cuddles up under the moon
Then at break of day, she’s up and away
Whistling a bonnie wee tune
Bridge
You’re always in a hurry
So you’ve no time to worry
Funny how I sometimes feel the same
Bonnie wee Jenny wee
Never see many wee
Bonnie wee Jenny wee wren
